| The client wanted a new expanded kitchen to compliment an extensive interior remodel they had undertaken a few years back. The exterior of the house was still in it's original 1960's ranch house condition, while the inside was modern and sophisticated, all except the kitchen. JA added a simple clear cedar box to the front of the house, added a continuous strip of windows and created a color pallet that updated and freshened the whole house. A new entry door and garage door completed the modern transformation. Custom steel brackets hold up the "box" and allow it to appear to float about the driveway and yard. The kitchen itself is a rich and elegant combination of walnut, granite, slate and glass. | ||
