Born in Indiana, James grew up in West Lafayette and went on to earn his Bachelors in History from Purdue University and a Masters in Museum Studies from Indiana University, which led him to work in museum administration in Utah and Texas before he switched gears and earned his MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Illinois. He joined JA in 2024 to support our business operations, applying his expertise in forecasting and financial management, and finds meaningful alignment between his love of museums and history and JA’s public-building work. When he’s not shortcutting Excel formulas or taking accounting software for test drives, James enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog Cheddar and traveling internationally.
