John B. Simons

AIA / Senior Associate
Man with short brown hair smiling with his teeth and wearing a chambray button-up shirt under a navy blazer.

Born and raised in Texas, John developed a passion for the relationship between architecture and nature as he grew up splitting time between his family’s ranch west of Fort Worth and their home in the city of Dallas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Texas Tech and a Masters of Architecture from the GSAPP at Columbia University. John began his career in New York City working on a wide range of project types, including commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail. His work has taken him from North America to Asia, including cities such as Chengdu, Hong Kong, and Singapore, but now it feels nice to settle down.

John enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, sometimes on foot, occasionally on a boat, and frequently on skis. These days most of his free time is spent with his family and their Golden Retriever, Scout, but he’s also making incremental progress on the remodel of their midcentury home.
