South Park Library
The South Park Library draws inspiration from the vibrant spirit of its Seattle neighborhood. Conceived as a welcoming “front porch” for the community, the library reflects South Park’s Latin heritage through color, material, and form, creating a civic space that feels lively, grounded, and distinctly local. A red stucco exterior and sun-filled courtyards pay homage to the neighborhood’s cultural identity, inviting people to gather, connect, and celebrate community life.

More than a library, this building embodies the heart and soul of South Park: a place where people of all ages can gather, learn, and belong.
Designers worked to express the area’s cultural heritage while meeting the library’s specialized needs. Warm, colorful materials and open spaces create an atmosphere that is both functional and full of life.
