Sitting in majestic Methow Valley, just about four hours from Seattle, is a completely outfitted gear loft — the brainchild of two PNW outdoor enthusiasts and Seattle-based design firm, Johnston Architects. After visiting and falling in love with the area, the couple wanted to set down permanent roots but couldn't pull the trigger just yet, and this 750 square feet gear loft (a true testament to the PNW) was the solution to be there in the meantime. It's lofted, shed-inspired and designed with storage for items including skis, paddleboards and camping equipment. This loft is part of a larger plan, which includes a carport and residence for the couple.
