Man sitting on a stool and leaning to one side. He's wearing transition lens glasses, a navy short-sleeve button-up shirt and blue jeans.

The landscapes of the Northwest have always been Ray’s greatest inspiration, offering endless material for creating buildings that feel rooted, enduring, and in harmony with their surroundings. Over the course of his career, he has expanded from residential work into libraries, public facilities, and larger commercial and mixed-use projects, developing an aesthetic that blends indoors and outdoors, honors cultural context, and embraces innovative thinking with a sense of timelessness.

Ray works throughout the West on complex design challenges that carry extraordinary potential. For him, architecture is both a lifelong fascination and a profoundly practical craft. The pursuit of beauty and the rigor of nuts and bolts are inseparable, and finding the balance between them remains his greatest pleasure.
