Pointing Dog

Set at the edge of a meadow near the Methow River wetlands, Pointing Dog embraces its surroundings with expansive glazing and a generous veranda used year-round. Distant ridgelines and nearby wildlife habitat shape the experience of the house.

The design blends a warm, lodge-like sensibility with moments of quiet refinement. Crafted timber and steel details, together with personal elements like prayer wheels at each entry, create a place that feels grounded, welcoming, and deeply connected to its environment.
