Two Seattle-based outdoor enthusiasts chose to establish a foothold in the Methow Valley while planning a future home on the property. JA designed the Gear Loft as a compact structure that accommodates gear storage, a sleeping loft, a sauna, and a small kitchenette, supporting extended stays and early use of the site.

Small house and a detached open garage in the middle of a snow covered valley. Behind the buildings is a tree scaped mountain range.

Today, this durable outpost is a favorite gathering place. In 2026, the main house will be completed. Stay tuned for the next chapter in this collaboration.
