This midcentury modern house in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood was updated to better support the needs and patterns of contemporary family life, while retaining the clarity and character of the original design.
Stone-lined foyers and stairs were preserved, while other areas were reworked. A former grotto now serves as a den, and the primary bath opens visually to a small terrace and pool. Warm materials and carefully framed views reinforce a sense of comfort grounded in the site.
